Daddy ran a half

Daddy started training for the Valpo Mini Marathon (13.1 miles) at the beginning of the year with his buddy Josh from work. They were both pumped up all week long. They drove the course and planned "the splits", then Josh had a death in the family on Wednesday and was unable to do the race. That left poor Daddy without a partner for his first big race. We were all unsure how it would go, but he got up and was out of the house before anybody was up this morning. Mommy went to cheer him on at mile 7, but he was ahead of pace and she almost missed him...she got there just in time to see him whiz past. Friends Pam, Dale, and Janet were waiting at mile 10. The whole family (Mommy, Grayson, Landry, Mia and Papa) was waiting at the finish line along with friends Pam and Dale. We are all SOOOO proud of him!!!Mile 10Finish line...obviouslyDaddy got a cool medal for finishing the race
